About Jan
A Tampa native, Jan Gruetzmacher brings a lifelong connection to the community and an extensive local network to every client relationship. Known for her caring, relationship-driven approach, she acts as a "matchmaker" for buyers and sellers, helping clients find not just a home, but a true sense of belonging in the Tampa Bay area.
Jan originally began her real estate career nearly 30 years ago and reactivated her license in 2021 before joining Smith & Associates Real Estate in 2023. Prior to returning to real estate, she spent more than 18 years recruiting and leading a highly successful statewide Florida sales team for the New York fashion company, Etcetera.
Deeply rooted in South Tampa, Jan has dedicated much of her time to serving the community through numerous leadership and volunteer roles. Her involvement has included serving as President of the Plant High School PTSA, Azalea Garden Circle, and USF's Town and Gown, as well as being a sustaining member of the Junior League of Tampa, a board member for the Center for Christian Study at USF and South Tampa Young Life, and a volunteer coordinator with Read to Dream.
